How We Approach Insulation on the Coast
Spray Foam Insulation Galveston insulates and air seals homes, raised beach houses, garages, shops and metal buildings on Galveston Island, the Bolivar Peninsula and across mainland Galveston County, from Tiki Island and Hitchcock to Texas City, Dickinson, League City and Kemah. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, insulate attics and roof decks, insulate the underside of raised floors, fill walls in older homes and new framing, and remove insulation that has been soaked by a storm or fouled by pests.
Every job starts with a look. On a visit we check the attic or roof deck, the floor system (whether that is a slab, a crawl space or a raised floor open to the wind), any garage or shop, and the walls where we can see them. We measure what is there and note its condition. On the coast we pay close attention to moisture: roof leaks, damp sheathing, water stains, corrosion on fasteners, mold on framing and any sign that a past flood left wet material behind. Insulation should never cover those problems.
Then we explain the options in plain terms. Closed-cell foam is often the right choice under raised floors and on roof decks here because it resists water and air. Open-cell foam is a good value in walls and on some rooflines. Blown-in material still makes sense on many attic floors. When more than one approach would work, the quote shows both so you can choose.
How a job runs
- We see it first. Prices come from a measured visit, not a phone estimate.
- We put it in writing. Material, thickness, R-value and price for every area.
- We seal first. Air leaks are closed before insulation goes on.
- We protect the house. Floors and belongings are covered, the work area is masked and ventilated.
- We clean up. Old material, trimmings and bags leave with us.
